Lust Have It box August

So, let me tell you about Friday afternoon before I begin, I got to finish work an hour early, when I got to the train station a train guard gave me a flower and told me to have a good day! Which it totally was a good day, the sun was out, the sky clear and the temp was a lovely 25 degrees.

Pretty box!
When I got home (in record time too!), I opened the letter box, and found my Lust Have It box!
Then I made the best Chow Mein I've ever made for dinner, had the cutest cuddles from my funny baby dog and my period ended! Best day I've had in a while!

Onto the August - celebration - box!

Box contents! Must remember to use that Lush card!!
There was a few things I was excited to see in this box, the first thing I saw was a free consultation card from Lush! (- only one of my favourite shops)

1. Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator RRP $29.95 30ml (Full size)
I've never used an illuminator before, so I'm excited to try this, and I've heard good things about the Revlon Photoready products. The shade I got is 200 Pink Light.

2. Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup RRP $25.95 30ml (4x samples)
Come to think of it, I don't think I ever tried any Revlon products before. I received 4 different samples in different shades; Shell 130, Natural Beige 170, True Beige 190 and Natural Tan 220. This does come in 12 shades though, so I'm sure if I like the texture I could find a better match. The card says this foundation is pack with vitamins and antioxidants, and works with your skins texture for an even finish.

3. KMS California Free Shape Shampoo RRP $28.95 300ml (12ml sample)
KMS California Free Shape Conditioner RRP $28.95 250ml
Unfortunately, I didn't receive the conditioner. It says it increases the manageability and pliability of hair for heat styling, and that's something I could definitely use!

4. KMS California Hot Flex Spray RRP $31.95 200ml (30ml sample)
Heat spray is always handy, this one apparently helps to style your hair while protecting it!

5. SinfulColors Nail Enamel RRP $4.95 15ml (Full size)
I got the shade Under 18, which is a metallic red. I've been wanting to try this brand for a while now, I always look at the display whenever I go into Kmart, but I can never bring myself to buy another polish, I have too many for one person as it is!
But anyway, I seem to always get metallic red whenever Lust Have It sent out a nail polish...

6. Lush Skin's Shangri La Moisturiser RRP $54.95 45g (10g sample)
So excited to finally get a Lush product in the box, and this one is something I've wanted to try for agers! I can't really explain the smell, it's like almond-y/vanilla-y/herbal-y. I love it already! A little goes a long way too, I put a small dot on my hand, and it was enough for my entire hand!!

7. LA Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water RRP $21.95 300ml (50ml sample)
This is an interesting product that I've never heard of before, it's supposed to sooth and soften sensitive and irritated skin.

8. LA Roche Posay  LIPIKAR Balm RRP $37.95 400ml (15ml sample)
This is a thick body balm that has anti-irratation and anti-scratch properties, and doesn't have a smell. I used it on my feet, they are kind of rough at the moment, and this did help sooth them, but I'll let you know how I like it once I've finished the tube!

Lust Have It Box July

I really like the print on this box :)
Wow, I didn't realise I hadn't posted this until I looked in my letter box today and found my August box! So, here I give you, a month late, the July box!!
July box.. sitting on a fancy plastic tub!

1. PHYT's Lait Hydro-Nettoyant and Soin Riche Protecteur
Both are 3ml samples RRP $43 200ml (Lait) & $78 40ml (Sion)
I don't have much to say about this at this point, haven't heard of this brand, or even tried these samples yet. I received the Créme Absolue rather than a Sion Riche Protectuer, are they the same thing?!

2. Schwarzkopf Extra Care Volume Powder RRP $8.99 (Full size)
I've looked at this product a few times in the shops, and was quite excited to see it in the box, but I don't know if/how it works... I've used it once and I don't really know if it makes a difference. I'll probably do a separate review on this later.

3. Swisse Hand Cream with Vitamin F & Pomegranate RRP $29.95 500ml (30ml sample)
This does NOT contain parabens, SLS, SLES, synthetic fragrance and colour, petrochemicals, silicones, mineral oils, PEGS, TEA, DEA, urea, peroxide, animal products, nano particles, and is NOT tested on animals.
I'm quite keen to try this for those reasons, and I didn't know Swisse made anything other than vitamins! But I have so many hand creams and moisturisers, I didn't really want to open it yet. It smells, odd, like it reminds me of those vitamin C tablets you can chew, but it doesn't smell citrusy. Imagine a chewable vitamin that was pomegranate flavoured, and that's the best description I can give you!

4. California Mango Mango and Jojoba Body Lotion RRP $3.49 2oz (Full size)
I love mango, so I'm sure I'll love this, but as I said, I have a few different lotions on the go.. I'd not heard of this brand before receiving this. It is a vegan formula, paraben free, cruelty free and eco-friendly. And smells really good! Like I want to eat it...

5. Nude By Nature Natural Tinted Moisturiser with Sunscreen RRP $19.95 30ml (Full size)
So far I love this brand, and everything I've ever tried has come from a Lust Have It box! I'm excited to try this, and was waiting until the weather warmed up a bit before opening it (wow, I hardly even used anything from this box yet!!)
This will get it's own review, maybe a Nude by Nature review actually... Stay tuned!

6. Colorsmash by Condition Culture Hair Shadow RRP US$15 (12m sample)
When I opened the box, I thought this was an eyeshadow, but then when I found out it was a hair shadow, so I was a tiny bit more excited. I say tiny because I would like to try a hair shadow, and wasn't going to go out and buy one, but, and that's a big BUT!
It's gold... (Gold Rush to be precise) I'm blonde, so yeah, don't think it will so up in my hair :(

7. Knotties by Condition Culture Hair Ties RRP US$6.25 (Full size)
I got 2 hair ties, a leopard print one and a neon orange, the orange isn't in the photo because I'd just worn it and it looked a bit gross covered in hair.
Apparently these don't give you a bump in your hair like regular hair ties do, but I didn't find that really worked? Still got a bump, however I do still like them, like a regular hair tie!
Also, apparently, you can wear them around your wrist! What innovation! *sarcasm. That's where I usually put hair ties when I'm not using them, but might later..

8. (Bonus!) Health Essentials  Maqui Berry Active RRP$45 150g Pawder (6g sample)
The ultimate antioxidant, super organic food! Australian certified organic! Suggestions include adding this to; smoothies, shakes, water, juice, ice-cream, yoghurt, custard, cereal, porridge and desserts.
To be honest, I keep forgetting I even have this! I do want to try it, I hope it's not past it's date!

August box post will be up later this weekend!

wish list - Black Milk (swimsuit edition)

I think it's safe to say, I love the whole Star Wars line from Black Milk!

Wish List - Living Dead (leggings)

I found these mermaid leggings, similar to the Black Milk ones, but half the price! $59 from Livingdead
Not really sure on the quality difference between them, as I've not ordered from either store, but my sister has ordered the zombie Adventure Time and Little Mermaid leggings from this store, and she seems to like them... I do also like the Beatles pair...

Review - Rimmel Apocalips

Yesterday I went grocery shopping and stopped by Priceline, because half price off all Rimmel products, and I'd been look for a good pink lipstick/product thing.
So I grabbed an Apocalips lip lacquer for $7!
I've heard good things about these, and I love the name/packaging.
Window sills have the best lighting...
I got the colour 101 Celestial, partly because it's a really pretty colour, and I wanted pink, and partly because of the name... and being similar to my name! :D
You can tell it has been unopened by the clear middle part, which fills with product once you remove the wand, I'd never seen this before and thought it was a really cool idea.
It has what I would describe as a watermelon-y scent, but it's not obnoxious. The formular is really soft and glides on nicely, I'd impressed, usually a product I like the packaging of isn't as good as I think it should be, but this one really is.

The Applicator has a little groove in the middle, so more product sits in the wand. It feels weird on your lips, but again, another cool packaging idea.
I'm not great at swatches, but you get the basic idea.
Would I buy this again?
Yes, I wish I had of gotten another colour, especially since they were half off, but all the ones they had were red or too dark for my liking, apparently red is not my colour..

Celeste

wish list - Black Milk (leggings)

I love Black Milk's leggings, but I can't bring myself to spend that much on a pair of leggings...

But anyway, just wanted to make a quick 'wish list' of the pairs I would buy if I ever did.

Love-Look-Listen-Learn

Love – Zane My man

This was taken about two years ago when I first moved in with Zane

He is always the top of my list, that’s a given. I love him more than anyone before him, and don’t know what I’d do without him. If you knew him like I do, you’d love him too. He knows how to make me feel, whether it good, or bad, he evokes the most from me. So much has happened in the relatively small time we’ve known each other, and we’ve stood by each other, for better and for worse. He’s my lover, my partner in crime and my best friend.

Look – Bully Documentary/Movie

Imagine found on Google

This movie is one of those movies that everyone needs to see. Everyone who has ever been to; going to; or planning on going to school needs to see this movie/documentary. I don’t watch many movies that affect me emotionally, but this was one of them, if Zane weren’t in the room I probably would have cried. It made the bullying I endured at school look and feel like nothing in comparison. But it was enough to make me drop out of school.

A lot of people do not notice how much bullying is a really big issue in all schools, unless it is happening to them, or someone close to them. I was always taught treat others how you want to be treated, so I could not understand why other kids would be so mean, for literally no reason! And when you tell parents/teachers/friends if you were lucky enough to have them, the response is always along the lines of kids will be kids

How does this even make any sense, if you actually think about it!
I was a kid, and I never bullied others, I knew many kids who never bullied others, so how is “kids will be kids” an excuse for those select few that make everyone’s life a living hell when they are trying to live their life? This needs to stop! Justifying this behaviour needs to stop! Accepting this behaviour needs to stop!

All I can say is watch this movie, even if you put up with bullies, even if you’ve never witnessed bullying before, especially if you are/were a bully.

Listen – The XX Coexist

I only recently heard of this band while I was listening to playlists on Spotify. Then I heard their song Angels a few times on Triple J. Angels is so beautiful and delicate. I love it. Not sure if it would be an appropriate song to play at my wedding, I think it might be. We will have to wait and see...

Learn – Yen Magazine

www.yenmag.net

I used to get this magazine all the time, and then stopped for a few years. I'm not sure why I picked it up again, but I did and now I don't know why I stopped getting it!
There is a competition in this issue, you have to write a short story and the theme is suitcase. I wrote it, but I'm not sure if I will get around to submitting it.
