Pole Dancing!

Tuesday night was a new experience for me, I tried my first 'Pole Tease' class at Fantasy Fitness & Dance Studio! (Along with Zane's sister, Kate)

I was nervous at first, but after the warm up I realised it was actually pretty fun and nothing what I expected. The teacher was really nice and helpful, we ended up learning three different spins, and did a different routine after each (where I learned how well I can follow dance instructions but also how ungraceful I really am!), then another stretch to cool down.

I definitely enjoyed myself, and it didn't feel like a workout at all... Until the next day, when my arms, shoulders, legs and stomach ached! But the good kind of ache where you know something must have worked! (Trying to tone - definitely not lose wait!)

Now I want lessons... and a pole...

A Quick Catch Up & A Fresh Start

Hello again,

It's been a while, a lot has changed since I last made a post... And when I say a lot I mean a LOT!

The biggest, and hardest change/challenge to overcome has been the passing of my baby, Charlie, late last year. He was playing in the yard while I was at work when he found a snake, my little hero put up a fight (he killed the snake) but unfortunately it was too late, and he was gone when we found him. He meant the world to me, not a day goes by where I don't think of his adorable little happy face.

On a lighter note, much lighter! The most visibly noticeable change has been my hair. It has taken a bit to get used to (people notice blondes more, trust me, you notice the difference!) but I'm really liking it.

I have been living with Zane, and his family, for the past nine months. Zane and I will be moving out on our own soon, hopefully! Into a house we will be renting from his parents, but can treat as our own.

Zane and I adopted a puppy, Louie, just under a month ago.

He is a KelpieX Shepherd, and he looks like a Dingo! He's such a handsome baby, definitely still a baby! He's goofy, runs into walls/furniture/people, and enjoys eating non-edible things, but we love him all the same :) I would have added photos if my phone weren't being so troublesome. 

I have been working! (Oh, the shock!) Before I had this job, I was unemployed for about two years, and now I have been working full time for about eight months, as an IT Help-Desk Officer. It's boring, and I'm not smart enough, but it's a job and it's good money!

I'm also studying online part-time, Certificate III in Children's Services. I plan on becoming a Kindergarten teacher, but before that I want to work at a Child Care Centre (it is also a requirement to the certificate I'm doing).

There are a few other changes too, but that's enough for now.

Har! I look so white in photobooth photos

Today, summer is officially here! Ok, maybe not technically, but it has been the hottest day since the start of the year. 31 degrees! I didn't even realise it had gotten that hot, I just know I could feel it in the sun earlier today!
And so could my plants :( they have a lot more yellow leaves now than they did this morning. Oh well!
