Shopping 02/07/13

I've spent the first two days off of work just chilling and cleaning my house.

Today I went to the shop, specifically to buy dog biscuits, but they didn't have the right ones, so I got other stuff instead...

Mango liquorice is the best! I also got a journal, some random Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty and Snoopy sticky tape (I don't know why, I seen it in a cheaper store, and it was $2.50 for 9 different rolls), some doilies for a DIY I want to try, a bronzer and lipstick.

I sorted my make up drawer the other day, and while I don't have a lot of make-up, it is predominately lip products...

This tape is so cute, one of the Snoopy ones says "Snoopy in sleep onlight" I thought it was funny

Going to Zane's grand parents for dinner and a quiz night, never been to a quiz night before!

Updates!

Ok, so it has been hectic-ish lately!
First up, Zane and I finally moved into our own house, so we've been really busy setting that up with what little furniture we have. It's getting there!

Once we moved in, Louie kept running away, he tore down walls, chewed through trees, he kept finding a way out of the yard and we felt bad locking him in the laundry all day. That and he obviously has really bad separation anxiety that causes him to destroy!

So, we got him a friend! Meet Jack, the latest member to the family, little jack russell x chihuahua. Very gorgeous, very playful and a very good match for Louie! They are brothers now, they play all day together and love each other :)

Secondly, my contract at work is almost up and I've applied for 40+ jobs in the last two weeks, heard back from one (had an interview, AND a trial, but alas, no job!) and it's starting to stress me a little that I won't be able to find one before the month is over.

I really need something part-time so I can work on getting this damn license! And work on my course, which I've barely even started! (No deadlines means procrastinate whenever I have time I should be using more productively... Like now...)

That's all I can think of now, gotta go fix myself up, going out for dinner! :)

Lush Shopping Trip

I went to Lush today, with Zane. We have been gradually trying all the products they sell there, I love Lush, and it makes me so happy that Zane does too!

We have been trying to change over to more natural cosmetics and grooming products, it's a slow process but we are getting there.

Today I purchased my first Fresh Face Mask, Cupcake!

I tried it as soon as we got home! It was really good, on the packaging it says it "helps absorb oil and calm breakouts". It has Coca butter, linseed and cocoa powder, with peppermint, spearmint and sandalwood oils, so it smells like mint-chocolate, which is awesome!

And once it's one your face/and after it's washed off it smells just like (surprise!) cupcakes! Needless to say, I loved it!

I also purchased my first conditioner from Lush, American Cream. I got the smallest size (100g) because I'm not sure how I'd like it, and it is quite expensive! I usually pay under $10 for full size hair products!

I can't quite describe the smell of this, it is like vanilla-strawberry, but not. It is nice although I may have to get used to it, as I am used to conditioners that are synthetic and contain silicone!

Today, summer is officially here! Ok, maybe not technically, but it has been the hottest day since the start of the year. 31 degrees! I didn't even realise it had gotten that hot, I just know I could feel it in the sun earlier today!
And so could my plants :( they have a lot more yellow leaves now than they did this morning. Oh well!

Last night I made a tomato and meatball risotto! It was the first risotto I've ever made, well, Zane helped me a little bit half way through. It was pretty good, and Zane loved it!! He took some for lunch at work, and then called me after he finished it to tell me it was awesome (even though he already told me last night) he is so cute <3 I don't know what to cook him tonight...

Today I went looking for a job, in the city, handed out a few resumes', but not many. I'll find one soon enough, I guess/hope! I straightened my hair before I left this morning, but it was raining :/

Well this was a day for new experiences

So, I've officially moved in with my man :) and let me tell you, we know how to trash our room O_O it's so messy in here hahaha clothes EVERYWHERE!

My hair's getting pretty long, and it sorta looks like I have extension O_o (I don't by the way)

Other news/events, I fainted for the first time ever today! I guess it's not really a huge event, but it was a first. Everything went fuzzy and I couldn't see anything, usually I'll sit down at this point when I feel like this, but today I thought it would just pass. I was at a friend's house, and he was showing me a pez dispenser (it was a Star Wars one, so it was awesome! And I want one!) but I couldn't even tell what it was my vision was so blurred.

And then apparently (I do not remember any of this) I said I was tired and fell backwards into the coffee table (spilling coffee everywhere), smacking the back of my head on the fireplace mantle piece, and then falling on the floor... 

The next thing I remember, Yagan was really, really concerned, helping me up and asking if I was ok! And I'm pretty sure my response was something like "Ummm, yeah, What happened? Why wouldn't I be ok?"

Then he told me what happened, said I hit my head really hard and he looked very worried. 

I think I might have had a slight concussion :/ I was completely spaced out after, I couldn't form real thoughts or proper sentences for a little while... This has never happened to me before, so I don't know if that feeling is normal? Hahaha

Well I have some news today! 

I'm (officially) moving into my boyfriends house... With him and his house-mates... It's gonna be me and four guys! It won't be too bad though, I get along with the other guys, and me and my man usually hang out in his (our!) room. 

I never thought this day would come, that I would leave my parents house.

I'm looking forward to it, aside from the fact that there is no-where for Charlie to live, so he has to stay with Mum.

It is sooo cold right now, calls for a dressing gown!

More news, I dyed my hair a darker, browner colour, which I like but I missed so much at the back! And I went shopping the other day!!! I got some new underwear, a lace (kinda, on the outside layer) trench coat, a pencil skirt (a 'proper' one, that fits like a glove!) and my man brought me some toe socks (he thinks they are cute, giggle giggle). 

No photos though, still haven't found that damn battery charger!

Also, since this is a diary-type-entry-post, the other day Zane and I went out for lunch and then went to the cinemas. We were going to see the new X-men movie, but it started later than we anticipated, so we seen the Hangover 2 instead :P Wasn't too bad, but it was expected, if you know what I mean.

First post of June! Wow, pretty much half way through the year already! I'd say I'm pretty happy with this year so far. Apart from the whole unemployed thing, and having such a sweet tooth isn't doing too well for me at the moment :*( Hurts so bad right now

Because I was up all night last night, I had the laziest day ever today. Just laid on the couch and watched Lost in Translation, Titanic and a episodes of Jersylicious, haha

I haven't worn this T-shirt in agers! 

I just wanted to add this picture to this post, cause it's cute, and I love Minnie, and I need a nurse right now, haha... Not that I really needed a better reason than cute!

I gave my baby dog, Charlie, a bath today. He is so good in the bath, he just stands there all quiet (scared more likely) and then cuddles up to me when I put the towel on him ^_^ he's such a sooky dog

Since today he has a reason to be scared of water (no, there was no 'bath time incident') he fell in the swimming pool D= Scared the absolute hell out of me, probably not as much as him, but geeez!!! I was shaking I was so scared! 

He only just fell in when I got him (ran across the yard faster than I knew I could run) everything happened so fast, but at the same time it felt like time froze.

There's something out the window!

I know dogs are usually fine in water, but he's little and has never been in water deeper than his little elbows, especially not a pool, where he would have no idea at all how to get out.
